My latest tutorial was a request and a very fun tutorial to do for me.  I always loved the effect of black and white infrared photography, and for that matter black and white photography so when I was asked to try and recreate the infrared effect I jumped right on it.  You can see that tutorial here.

This tutorial is a request from someone on the PhotoFiltre Forums.  While it looks like a lot of steps they are real easy to create and you may learn about a new feature of PhotoFiltre. PhotoFiltre Interface Button Tutorial
1)  Menu = File / New

     Width = 130 Pixels
     Height = 20 Pixels
     Background = White

2)  Menu = Filter / Color / Gradient

     Style = Duotone
     Direction = Top to Bottom

     Color 1 = White
     Opacity = 100%

     Color 2 = Black
     Opacity = 100%

3)  Menu = Edit / Stroke and Fill

     Stroke = Checked
     Color = Black
     Width = 1

     Fill = Un-Checked

4)  Zoom in to 300%

5)  Menu = Selection / Select All

6)  Menu = Selection / Contract

For our next step we will be using the guides located along the bottom of your PhotoFiltre window.  The ones circled are what we will concern ourselves with.  They will tell us the width and height of our selection. PhotoFiltre Interface Button Tutorial
 
7)  Place your cursor on the left side of your selection and it will turn into a double arrow.  When  this happens click and hold the left button and drag it to the right.  Looking at your guides on the bottom drag it until the width = 112. PhotoFiltre Interface Button Tutorial
 
8)  Right Click your selection and choose Tranform / Free

      Skew = Horizontal axis = 50%

9)   Menu = Selection / Show Selection

10) Menu = Selection / Copy Selection

11) Menu = Filter / Color / Gradient

      Style = Duotone
      Direction = Top to bottom

      Color 1 = RGB 0,0,255
      Opacity = 100%

      Color 2 = RGB 0,255,255
      Opacity = 100%

12) Menu = Selection / Hide Selection

13) Using our guides at the bottom again, select the Rectangle Selection Tool and draw a new selection 128 Pixels wide by 5 pixels high like mine to the right.

14) Menu = Adjust / Brightness and Contrast

      Brightness = 40
      Contrast = 30
 

15) Using your Keyboard Arrow Keys, move the selection down to the bottom like mine and then use the cursor to shrink the height to 3 pixels high.

16) Menu = Adjust / Brightness and Contrast

      Brightness = 30
      Contrast = 20

17) Menu = Selection / Hide Selection

18) Menu = Selection / Paste Shape (use you keyboard arrow keys to adjust the selection over the blue part again.

19) Menu = Filter / Visual Effect / Guassian Blur
