| 1) I always make a copy of my original so that I have the original to reference as I work. To do this go to Edit / Copy and then
go to Edit / Paste as new image. 2) Menu = Filter / Plugins / White Balance Filter |
 |
| When you select the filter you'll notice the only button active is the cancel button. Move your
cursor on to your image and you'll see the color sample eye dropper tool like the one in my image to the right above. Move it to the
area I have mine and then Click the Left Mouse Button.
You'll see 3 additional buttons are now active. Because our problem is a Bluish cast we want the "PreviewBlue" Button so click it.
To the right you can see my result.
Already our image is looking better but it has a little too much yellow in it for me. I'm going to Fade the Filter Effect we just applied
a little.
3) Menu = Edit / Fade White Balance Filter
Opacity = 70%
Now Fade helped our color cast quite a bit but it seemed to flatten our shadows so we'll deepen them a little. |
 |
| 4) Menu = Adjust / Levels Shadows
Threshold = 115
Intensity = 25%
We'll leave the Highlights the way they are. They look pretty good to me.
Now the image may look fine to you. If so save it and you're done. Me, I want to work on a couple more things like the Eyes, lips,
hair flower and the shoulder area. If you want you can follow along. The first thing we'll work on is the Eye Color using the Elipse
Selection Tool. |
